Saad joined Key Travel as Group CEO in November 2017. He brings considerable international executive and non-executive experience from within the travel industry as well as other sectors.

Prior to Key Travel, Saad was Group CEO of Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, where he led a turnaround which in 2016 returned the business to profit for the first time since its flotation on the London Stock Exchange in 2010.

From 2009 to 2013, Saad was Managing Director at the Gores Group, an operations-focused private equity firm where he was responsible for leading operational due diligence efforts across Europe as well as working with portfolio company executive teams to achieve full operational potential.

From 2005 to 2009, Saad was Chief Commercial Officer at easyJet plc where he was responsible for the airline’s commercial transformation, covering network development, scheduling, sales & distribution, revenue management, ancillary products & services, marketing and customer service. This resulted in significant margin enhancement and the doubling of revenue from £1.3bn in 2005 to £2.7bn in 2009.

Prior to easyJet, Saad was Managing Director – Europe at Tibbett & Britten, the leader in consumer product logistics where he led a major business turnaround and CEO & Co-Founder of Autocascade, a pan-European web-based yield management start-up focused on the automotive sector. Previously, Saad held a number of leadership positions in brand management, sales and marketing and retailing at Procter & Gamble, Thorn-EMI, Vision Express and the Minit Group.

Saad is also a seasoned Non-Executive Director. Currently, he is a Non-Executive Director at Pegasus, the leading low cost airline in Turkey where he is Chairman of the Risk Committee and a member of the Audit Committee. He is also a Non-Executive Director at Canada Jetlines, an ultra low cost airline start-up.

Saad, who is originally Lebanese, is a UK national and holds a BA (Hons) in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University and an MBA from INSEAD. He is married with 2 children and is a big tennis fan.
