Airport Immigration Staff Strike, Thursday 10th May
04 May 2012 09:53
According to the Immigration Services Union (ISU), immigration staff at airports across the UK will stage a one-day strike in a dispute over pension reforms on Thursday 10th May.
ISU, which represents around 4,500 UK immigration officers, announced the 24 hour strike for Thursday 10th May in protest against plans by the government to raise the retirement age for public servants.
As yet the strike is unconfirmed and it will not be announced whether the strike is going ahead or not, until the day. Currently, to our knowledge, all services will be operating as normal and therefore should you wish to change your travel arrangements, usual cancellation and amendment fees will apply.
