Updated: Lufthansa strike proposed 6th - 13th November
10 November 2015 15:20
The week long strike by Lufthansa is still ongoing, with over 100 flights due to be cancelled today (Tuesday 10th November).
The airline has updated their website with the following statement:
"Passengers are requested to stay up-to-date through lh.com once strike measures have been announced.
"The Independent Flight Attendant’s Organization (UFO) has called on all Lufthansa flight attendants to take part in strike action from 6 November until 13 November. The union will announce further details during the course of Friday morning, 6 November, regarding possible strike measures from 12pm onwards.
"Lufthansa will be able to publish a special flight plan once these concrete measures have been announced. Passengers are particularly affected by the limited time between this strike announcement and the commencement of industrial action, as planning possibilities are restricted.
"Flights operated by Lufthansa CityLine, Germanwings, Eurowings, Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, SWISS and Brussels Airlines are not affected by potential strike actions and will therefore run as planned.
"Lufthansa will do its utmost to keep the effects of a strike to a minimum and to inform passengers as soon as possible. For that reason, Lufthansa requests all passengers early on to stay up-to-date by checking the flight status on LH.com.
"Lufthansa passengers, who provided Lufthansa with their mobile phone number in their or under on Lufthansa.com, will be informed about any cancellations via SMS.
"Lufthansa apologises for the strike related inconveniences, particularly, as the precise scope of the strike is still not known."
