BA cancels flights to China following FCO update

29 January 2020 09:01

British Airways has suspended all flights to and from mainland China as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advises against all but essential travel to the country.

Previous FCO advice was against all travel to the Hubei Province but this has since been updated to advise against all but essential travel to the whole of mainland China.

As a result, British Airways has suspended all direct flights to and from mainland China for the remainder of January while they assess the situation.

The last flights from Beijing and Shanghai are due to arrive in the UK at around 4pm today (29th January).

If you are booked to travel to China over the coming days or weeks, please contact your airline for up to date advice or speak to your reservations team.

For more information on the evolving situation, see the FCO website
