***TRAVEL BULLETIN - Middle East Travel Disruption***
Due to ongoing disruption affecting airspace and airline operations in the Middle East, our teams are prioritising support for customers with imminent travel. Where we identify impacted bookings, we are proactively emailing travellers with airline-specific guidance.
Key advice
- Check the flight status directly with the airline via the airline website or app. Schedules and routes are changing at short notice and airlines are contacting passengers directly.
- Do not travel to the airport unless the airline has directly confirmed the flight is operating and you have a confirmed booking. Without a confirmed booking you are very likely to be turned away.
- Already at the airport or enroute, contact the airline immediately for updated routing and be prepared for delays or an overnight stay if required.
- Check in with your organisation’s Risk, HR and/or Procurement teams and follow internal guidance before any travel to impacted areas is considered.
- Check passenger contact details are correct in the airline website ‘manage my booking area’.
- If you are in an impacted country, please ensure you have registered with your embassy/government, so you can be contacted about consular assistance and any repatriation flights.
Customers with travel booked to affected countries
We are advising bookers to cancel or amend bookings via KT Online wherever possible, as this is the quickest route. Where changes or cancellations cannot be completed online, travellers can contact their dedicated Key Travel service team or email reservations.uk@keytravel.com with “Middle East” in the subject line. In the background, we will apply the latest airline policies and ensure any applicable refunds or fee-free changes are actioned accordingly.
We continue to receive a high volume of calls from customers who are not travelling immediately, but are looking for information. Where possible, please use airline and government websites for the latest guidance. We are keeping phone lines clear to support those who are directly impacted, or require urgent or emergency assistance with other travel.
All other travel bookings
For standard bookings and non-urgent changes, please use KT Online. It is the quickest option, and if you have booked online, you can also cancel online.
